 Welcome to El Rincon Trading post. El Rincon Trading Post is the original trading post in Taos, New Mexico. It was founded in 1909 by Ralph Meyers. In El Rincon, you will find marvelous examples of Native American/Indian jewelry and museum quality, old Indian and Spanish relics as well contemporary Art. Many of the peices are old pawn jewelry, dating back to the 1800's.   It is still run and operated by decendants of Ralph and his wife Rowena Martinez. Third Generation Estevan Castillo is the current owner of El Rincon and is helped out by his son, Michael Castillo, who is fourth generation (Ralph and Rowenas Great Grandson.) Both Estevan and Michael are still keeping to tradition and making wonderful one-of-a-kind peices of jewelry. We are currently working on this website to reach out and show everyone what we have to offer, and the stories behind the walls of El Rincon.  Items are now listed for sale, so that you too could own a piece of art and history.

We also offer guest rentals in the historic building of El Rincon. Please inquire about rates and availability.
